Noirmoutier Island

Ile d'Yeu - The Islands of the Vendée

This is a particularly attractive island for tourists visiting Vendée. Its rocky coastline is reminiscent of the Breton coast. Numerous small creeks with fine sandy beaches make this place a real paradise. The Port de la Meule, its Old Castle, Port Joinville are a must to visit, with a gastronomy deliberately turned towards the sea. It is not uncommon to find nice little restaurants with a view of the sea.
